Are you guilty of buying something from a thrift store then getting it home and not knowing what to do with it? So you stick it in the back of your closet with all of those Christmas sweaters your grandmother made you… Go get out those thrift store finds and be prepared to be amazed with what kind of wardrobe you can create for yourself! Vintage inspired here we come!

Thrift stores, consignment shops, and vintage stores are great places to find unique things that you may not find anywhere else nowadays. If you’re a newbie to all of this, don’t worry! I will explain to you in a future blog how to go about purchasing the perfect second-hand outfit with just a little bit of cash! In the meantime…you are just going to have to trust me when I say they are great places to uncover newfangled treasures!

On my latest escapade (Come on baby let’s get away, let’s save your troubles for another day…Es-ca-pade, We’ll have a good time. Es-ca-pade, leave your worries behind, Es-ca-pade…that’s all the words I know to that Janet Jackson song…anyway…) to the Salvation Army I saw…this glorious sign…that read…BAG SALE: all you can fit, $7.00. At that exact moment, I honestly thought I was going to get “weak knees” and fall to the ground because I was so steeped with excitement. This girl knows how to pack stuff!

These pictures were taken out and about in rural Mississippi. Some of my favorite places to take pictures are at old barns, decaying houses, and winding dirt roads. My dad being involved with photography inspired me to get a fancy smancy camera and try it out for myself! Now, I am voracious about the artistic stand point behind photography!

The following photos are some of my favorites from the Thrift Store Finds photoshoot with Amberle Rogers! I just had to share them with all of you because Amberle and I had such a great time taking all these pictures! Tune in next time for my blog about the Birmingham Fashion Week 2012 (BFW) that I will be attending Thursday, February 9! Can’t wait to share my experience with you all!
