I bring you a fantastic post today about an extraordinary event I attended at Saks 5th Avenue at The Summit (Birmingham, Alabama)…The Birmingham Fashion Week Emerging Designers Reveal! “The Emerging Designer Competition was created to give aspiring fashion designers in college and post-grad an opportunity to showcase their talent…[The Emerging Designers] will compete on Thursday [February 28] and Friday [March 1] nights for a chance to show during Saturday night’s finale, where a winner will be awarded with a grand prize package,” states www.bhamfashionweek.com

Ginger Jefferson kicked off the Emerging Designers Competition Reveal.

Detra Smith and Daphne Rush were quite the amazing people to meet! Detra has organized a design team from local cosmetology schools and junior colleges through a mentorship program by Matrix called "Spread the Love". Daphne is busy backstage dolling up models to hit the BFW runway!
