VIP Beauty: Epic Nail Art Fail

Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to Beauty Tues!

This week, we are going to chat about the epic nail art fail I recently experienced…

I was in Sephora a few weeks ago when I picked up this snazzy Ciate Feathered Manicure Kit ON SALE for $7.00–originally, the kit was around $40.00. So, I said, “why not?! I have been wanting to DIY some nail art, and the kit has detailed instructions…where could it go wrong?!”

At the beginning of the feathered manicure process, things were going fabulous; however, the feathers on my nails made me look like a human feather duster. *wink*

Where could it go wrong? Psh…*ugh* It went wrong in a lot of ways…BUT it was not for my lack of trying. I redid one nail like eleven times! Okay, so maybe not eleven times–I just redid the same nail until I ran out of teal colored features *sad face* They were such pretty feathers…so young…and so brave…they fought a good fight… *wink* Instead of my trying to explain how horribly wrong my feathered manicure went, I will just show y’all.

The right hand went semi-well...doesn't look horrendous but it is not offensive either...Just looked like I DIYed my nail art, which, in fact, I did *wink*

The left hand went horribly...horribly...horribly wrong. I am pretty sure a blindfolded five year old could have done better--or even my dog. Yes, my dog could have done better. *wink*
The left hand went horribly…horribly…horribly wrong. I am pretty sure a blindfolded toddler could have done better job than I did–or even my dog. Yes, my dog could have done better because her nose art on the windows is pretty fabulous *wink*

 The moral to this story is even though Pinterest makes somethings look easy…we should leave somethings to the professionals. I have already booked a manicure for this week as an apology to my nails because they did not deserve to go through that *wink*
