VIP Beauty: RIP Tina the Hairdryer

IMG_5394

Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to Beauty Tues.

This weekend, my hair dryer of seven years died–her name was Tina…yes, I named my hairdryer after Tina Turner…who else?! *wink*. Tina was such a great hairdryer…She lived a long and exciting life filled with fabulous events and travels; but, now, she has passed away and gone to hair-styling heaven. I would like to take a moment of silence to recognize Tina and all her fabulousness. *sniff, sniff*

After Tina’s death, I knew I had to find another hairdryer…and fast because I have several big events coming up where I will NEED my own hairdryer…The miniature hotel version is not going to cut it *wink* So, I found my way to the Target here in Johnson City where I had hoped to find a hairdryer just like Tina…but to my dismay, Tina had been discontinued. *gasp* How dare they do such a thing?! So, I pulled myself back together and began reading the backs of hairdryer boxes and Googling product reviews on particular models. After about an hour (yes…an hour), I stumbled upon this John Frieda dryer that has double the drying time (very important because I have thick hair) + ions to help with frizz (very important because I have curly hair) + three different attachments (two concentrators and a diffuser) for about forty bucks.

I have yet to try out the new hairdryer; however, when I do–I will let y’all know how it goes! P.S. I have named my new hairdryer Turner…Everyone, say hello to Turner *wink*
