Oh, Vandy, honey…when can I move in? I mean…um…you’re castle is amazing *wink*
Yesterday, I visited the home of George and Edith (which is an awesome name–BTW) Vanderbilt in Asheville, North Carolina for the first time. As I roamed through the Biltmore house on my self-guided tour, I found myself exclaiming “WOW” around every corner and door–I felt a little bit like that mash-up video of Owen Wilson saying “WOW” on YouTube *wink*
The innovations in the Biltmore House are too cool to explain in one blog post, and they are things that one truly has to see in person to appreciate; however, my FAVORITE was the indoor swimming pool. Picture this (because photography is not permitted in the house *wink*). It is the late 1890s, and you have an indoor swimming pool in your home (or castle) that is not only tiled from top to bottom, but it also has under-water lighting. That’s right–UNDER WATER LIGHTS IN AN INDOOR SWIMMING POOL IN THE LATE 1890s. Mind = blown.
The epic indoor swimming pool is just one of the amazingly cool things behind the castle doors of Biltmore–BUT I do not want to spoil all of the cool things because I think y’all need to visit the Estate and have as many “WOW” moments as I did *wink*

Now, before I spill any more beans about Biltmore *wink*, check out the following photographs from my adventurous photo shoot at the beautiful Biltmore Estate! Enjoy :)
Gorgeous pictures! I particularly like the ones on the bridge. I also love that hat. Can you please me where you got it?
Thank you!! I got the hat at Biltmore that day–the sun was beating down hard that day and I got it to protect my shoulders. :)
Gorgeous! The pool sounds amazing! :)
Thank you! And goodness–it was! So cool and pretty!
