When I first started VIP at 16, I would have laughed if someone would have told me that the blog would be what it is today. From defining my personal style to starting a workout plan, VIP has not only helped me find myself…but it has also helped me better myself. So, for today’s VIP Letter from the Editor, I have decided to share some throwback pictures with y’all in order to celebrate my Pretty In Pink Transformation.
Now, let’s hop in the time machine to a simpler time on VIP when I was living in the middle of nowhere with spotty wifi, and I was getting my mom to take my blog pictures out in the middle of the road *wink*
In 2012, my grandmother gave me a dress that was hand-sewn by her mother in 1964. You can read all about the frock here + see photos of my grandmother wearing it back in the 60s.
I sported the pretty-in-pink frock to one of my first events, which was a MAC makeup party. At the time this photo was taken, I weighed about 155 pounds–give or take a few. I was in denial about being “skinny-fat” + I had a serious love affair with fried chicken and Totino’s pizza rolls *wink*
In 2013, my family and I had moved to Birmingham where VIP took off with DSL internet *wink* I started working harder at growing my blogging career + I stopped eating so many pizza rolls *wink*
In 2014, the family and I were packing our bags again to move for the 4th time in 5 years. As scary as moving to a new place is, I have actually enjoyed the wild adventures. I am already planning where I want to move next–but that is beside the point *wink* Also in 2014, I was diagnosed with Celiac disease, which changed my eating habits all together. It is a lifestyle change–not a diet *wink*
And…back to the present *wink*

Now, time to put on my pink Under Amour shorts and head to Planet Fitness. I am working on getting in shape to bring y’all a wonderful blog post…so, stay tuned :)
