There is only one era in fashion where a girl could tease her hair, wear multiple hues of neon, an oversized denim jacket, lace tights, a colorful tutu, blue eyeshadow, and sequins all at the same time and be considered “fashionable.” Ah–like, that’s so like totally 80s. *said in Valley Girl voice*

In the 80s, music artists and celebs created a hot and dynamic juxtaposition of sweet n’ preppy and punk n’ edgy. From Joan Jett to Cyndi Lauper, girls of all personalities were able to express themselves through clothing in (almost) anyway they pleased! Where are the Joan Jetts and the Duran Durans hiding?!

Sparking of Miley Cyrus…we just THINk she is “edgy” and “provocative” with her crazy concert fashions; however, Madonna did it first…and better in my opinion *wink* In your spare time, take a look at Madonna’s outrageous looks–from Like a Virgin to Papa Don’t Preach…I DIGRESS. Now, we are not here to talk about who did or does the 80s edge better–we are here to talk about 3 easy-to-wear 80s inspired outfits because who doesn’t want to look like they just stepped out of a gnarly and totally righteous time machine *wink*

So, without further ado, take a look at these 3 totally tubular VIP original outfits and get inspired to embrace your inner 80s girl!
