Back at the beginning of February, I blogged about three ways to wear a rust skirt, and this week on Three Ways to Wear Thursday–I am going to show you three ways to wear an emerald skirt…BUT there’s a twist *wink*
To show y’all just how truly easy it is to shop in your own closet, and how making minimal changes can alter the whole look of an ensemble, I created this epic blogpost which coincides with the Three Ways to Wear Rust post here. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at this week’s TWTWT + VIP Style Tips! :)
Way One:
By simply swapping the rust skirt for the emerald one, throwing on casual cowboy boots, and adding a upcycled statement necklace–I was able to take this outfit from work prep to Saturday lunch with friends. Often, we don’t think about how we can do this so easily with our favorite wardrobe pieces; however, simple changes like these make it easy to stretch your fashion dollar + create brand new looks that wow! Give it a try–you might be surprised by how many outfits you can create.

Way Two:
In addition to swapping the skirts, I traded my boots for comfy converse and then tossed on a funky necklace (which is actually made from vintage hair curlers. BluKatDesign is an AH-mazing jewelry artisan who always creates unthought of pieces I fall head over heels for *wink* Check out her other curler necklace here!). These little changes quickly took this look from professional to unique street style–see the power of minimal changes! Oh, how I love fashion and how its all in the eye of the beholder! :)

Way Three:
Now…I know what you’re thinking–these outfits are basically nothing alike *wink* EXACTLY! Way three is all about playing a wild card with your wardrobe. Say what?! Let me explain–one thing I love doing is creating different looks. I play dress up in my closet at least once a week where I style and write down ensemble ideas, and two of the recent ones are below.
Now, for when you go to play dress up in your closet, here is something to keep in mind: When creating unique outfits, tell yourself not to worry about what others will think (to a degree…you don’t want to leave the house not classy *wink*). Mix patterns, mix different styles, clash colors, wear open toe heels with socks, wear twelve necklaces, or whatever else floats your boat. You have to style outfits that express your personal style, and if you rock them with confidence…no one will ever doubt your fashionista eye *wink* So, go on–get out there and work it, girl!

Great ideas! I need to mix up my wardrobe, I get stuck in the same old rut! Fabulous looks! :)
