Fabulous Friday: The Black Keys on Limited Edition Vinyl

http://instagram.com/p/whmrqXtJsO/?modal=true

Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to the blog!

Happy Friday, y’all! Oh, my goodness! Can you believe it…Christmas is in 6 days *gasp* So excited!

Speaking of Christmas…while I was out shopping for my last few gifts, I went into Books-A-Million because I am a total book nerd + I was looking for a silly prank gift for my Paw Riley. Last year I gave him a yodeling pickle…I mean, how do you beat that?! *wink*

Well, while in BAM, I discovered that they had vinyl records *gasp* How cool, right?! Long story short–I treated myself to an early Christmas present, after I found a copy of The Black Keys “Rubber Factory” on limited edition vinyl. It was the only one left, and it was a total spontaneously justifiable buy *wink*

Also, I recently found out there is a record store in downtown Johnson City called Backdoor Records; however, I have yet to check it out. Hm…I am feeling an adventure some time in the near future. :)

Fabulous Friday: Leopard + Red

img_7057

Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to the blog!

So, I went shopping today at the Johnson City Mall for a big event I have coming up, and I found the most FABULOUS leopard dress from EXPRESS (click here to view). I love this frock because it can either be super dressy or super casual, but for the secret event, I am going to be pairing it with all red accessories. It. Is. Going. To. Be. Perfection. *wink*

Now, because red + leopard is a marvelous combo, I decided to make a quick Polyvore board for inspiration before heading out for this week’s Friday-night activities…or I might stay in and watch a marathon of Hallmark Christmas movies *wink*

Fabulous Friday: Special Thanks to my Great-Aunts Jo and Judy

IMG_7608

Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to the blog!

On my last trip home to Mississippi, I visited my two great-aunts, Jo and Judy. While at their homes in Kosciusko, we sorted through old family pictures, told crazy stories from the past, and even went through some of their vintage fashions. Aunt Judy gave me the lovely pair of vintage gold hoop earrings featured on this blog post, and Aunt Jo gave me the awesome Aztec-print wrap-skirt. I am assuming the wrap-skirt is from the late 70s, early 80s because of the pattern and sizing; however, who knows! I asked Aunt Jo from which era it was, but you know us Southern women…we do not tell our age or anything that might hint at our actual age. *wink*

Oh, how I miss my fashionably awesome great aunts and Mississippi! So, since I cannot sing (nor does anyone want to hear me try), I am dedicating this week’s Fabulous Friday to my great-aunts, Jo and Judy. Note: I will be going to Walgreens later to print them off these pictures…they do not have the internet; however, Aunt Judy is very skillful with blowing up old photos on her scan-in printer *wink*

Now, without further ado, let’s take a look at the outfit details + fab photos.
