OMG. Today is the day, y’all–it is the first day of Fall 2015! *happy dance* What do y’all say we celebrate with a fabulously fall ensemble?! Woo hoo!
Over the weekend, the family and I saw The Three Musketeers (which was an amazing performance) at the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Virginia–where we also took some AWESOME photos in the park across the street *wink* So, for this week’s Weekly Whistle, I am featuring what I wore to the Barter + my amazing new BedStu boots. I have been waiting all summer to buy the perfect pair of BedStus *wink* You can get your own from the Gypsy Spur online or in store! Click here for more information.
Now, without further ado, I reveal the VIP’s first outfit of fall *wink*
Last Friday, I took a little day-trip to the lovely city of Nashville, Tennessee to see the Italian Style exhibit at the Frist, eat at an all-gluten-free restaurant, and shop the local vintage scene. Despite the hot and humid weather (welcome to the South *wink*), the family and I had a magnificent time–such a magnificent time that I just had to share a little bit of the adventure with y’all! So, slip on your cowboy boots, y’all, because this is a Nashville edition of VIP Scrapbook *wink*
WOWZA! The inside of The Frist was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I felt like I was back at Biltmore–wandering the halls, distracted by the exquisite architecture. Those ceilings > all other ceilings.Check out those mouldings! AND–they’re metallic. I am in love *wink*
The ceilings in the stairwell at The Frist. Totally feeling inspired now–someone get me some silver and black paint and a paint brush! And…probably some painters tape. *wink*This amazing sculpture in front of The Frist is from the Jaume Plensa Human Landscape exhibit on display now.View from the top of the stairs at The Frist. Look at that architecture, y’all! Kind of makes me want to move to Nashville…but I think New Orleans has my heart *wink* Too bad I cannot make NOLA in a day-trip *sad face**PAUSE* Let me take a #selfie.OMG. Look at this menu–I could eat ANYTHING from it I wanted! Oh…what a relaxing feeling! Although I do not talk about it often, I have Celiac disease and traveling with it really…well..stinks. Whereas most people can stop at any restaurant they please without worry, my life isn’t that simple *wink* There is SO much research involved to find out where I can and cannot eat when traveling, but thanks to my mom, we were able to eat at the all-gluten-free eatery, Amot, in Nashville. Whether you have Celiac or not–the food at Amot is to-die-for! I give Amot 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, and a VIP happy dance *wink*Grilled cheese for days. Kind of makes your mouth water…doesn’t it *wink*I like to be silly sometimes…okay–all of the time *wink* What do y’all think of these vintage specs I tried on at the Hip Zipper? Bless, my mom is not a photographer *wink*VINTAGE GOODIES! Woop! Woop! Stay tuned to the blog later this week to see ONE–and only one–of my new vintage (accidental oxymoron? *wink*) pieces. Y’all will have to stay tuned to see the rest!
Photo from 2012 at my childhood home in Mississippi.
Wow! Long time no see, readers!
I have been away this week visiting family and doing a photo shoot for the indie film poster in the ever-lovely Hospitality State. The trip was wonderful and full of lots of laughs and memories :) Ah…thank you, Mississippi, for always showing this girl a happy time!
Although visiting the home-state was fabulous, the downside is having virtually no cell service or reliable WiFi *sad face* Sure, it is ah-mazing to detach from the crazy hoopla of the internet and social media, but I am a blogger…so, I obviously love having cell reception and/or high-speed internet so I can write posts to share with y’all *wink*
BUT GOOD NEWS IS…I am back in Tennessee with 4G cell service and Charter internet *wink* Blogs and social media posts will resume as normal on Monday–yay! *happy dance*
Now–that is enough about my #TechnologyFails while in Mississippi *wink* Let’s take a look at some of my trip’s highlights!
Driving through Aliceville, Alabama on Memorial Day was pretty wonderful! I loved seeing the flags lining the bridge there–proud to be an American *wink*
#NoMakeup selfie after finally arriving at my grandparents house in Mississippi. Eleven-ish hours of driving across 4 states…phew! Grandparent hugs, seeing the stars at night, and hearing the Whip-poor-wills made the boring and tiring drive worth it *wink*Behind-the-scenes at the indie film poster shoot! Ah! I got a sneak peek at the beginning of the movie + the poster layout, and needless to say, I CANNOT wait for y’all to see all of the awesomeness that Carlos and Roberto Rosales of CS Digital Productions have done! They ROCK! Check out the video below to see a teaser of the movie + visit their website for more info and pictures. http://www.csdigitalproductions.com

Ziva’s I-am-so-tired-of-riding face.Throwback photo just for fun *wink* This photo was taken when I was a toddler at my Paw Riley’s childhood home which is right down the road from the house where I grew up. I am wearing my Paw Riley’s outfit from when he was just a toddler.
Monday, I visited the fabulous Biltmore Estate, and just in case you missed the adventure post…you can click here to read all about it *wink*
Now, for this week’s Weekly Whistle, I am going to give y’all the snazzy details about the fantastically flowy dress I sported on my photo shoot at the Biltmore Estate Gardens. Ah…this lovely Molly Green dress just felt fitting for frolicking *wink*
Oh, Vandy, honey…when can I move in? I mean…um…you’re castle is amazing *wink*
Yesterday, I visited the home of George and Edith (which is an awesome name–BTW) Vanderbilt in Asheville, North Carolina for the first time. As I roamed through the Biltmore house on my self-guided tour, I found myself exclaiming “WOW” around every corner and door–I felt a little bit like that mash-up video ofOwen Wilson saying “WOW”on YouTube *wink*
The innovations in the Biltmore House are too cool to explain in one blog post, and they are things that one truly has to see in person to appreciate; however, my FAVORITE was the indoor swimming pool. Picture this (because photography is not permitted in the house *wink*). It is the late 1890s, and you have an indoor swimming pool in your home (or castle) that is not only tiled from top to bottom, but it also has under-water lighting. That’s right–UNDER WATER LIGHTS IN AN INDOOR SWIMMING POOL IN THE LATE 1890s. Mind = blown.
The epic indoor swimming pool is just one of the amazingly cool things behind the castle doors of Biltmore–BUT I do not want to spoil all of the cool things because I think y’all need to visit the Estate and have as many “WOW” moments as I did *wink*

Now, before I spill any more beans about Biltmore *wink*, check out the following photographs from my adventurous photo shoot at the beautiful Biltmore Estate! Enjoy :)
