Hello, fabulouses, and welcome to my new segment: VIP Home! Yay!
Today on VIP Home, I would like to chat about one of my favorite art pieces, which is a Marilyn Monroe print that my mom customized just for me.
For those of you who do not know my mom, she is a retired school teacher who now spends her time creating magnificent art pieces and sculptures. Not only does she create, but she also collects. There is not a wall in our house that does not have a piece of art hanging on it. It is safe to say that we are a family of art junkies *wink*
My mom took a simple poster and breathed life into it with vintage jewelry, glitter, some paint, and magical powers–okay, so she did not use magical powers; however, she did work some magic on a plain, ordinary print *wink*
What’s in the news? Beauty Tues that is! Come back tomorrow for a fun and fabulous makeup post with the VIP!

On Friday, March 8, I attended the Junior Patrons Art and Arias event at the Birmingham Museum of Art. It was a fabulous evening filled with delicious food and mesmerizing performances. The inspiring night ended with a tour of the extraordinary European Arts Collection on display at BMA.
“Amici–Young Friends of the Opera Birmingham is a patrons group with the mission of supporting and promoting Opera Birmingham. Amici, which is the Italian word for ‘friend,’ is open to all opera lovers ages twenty-one to forty-five…Enjoying the opera has never been so easy,” www.operabirmingham.org
The Opera Birmingham will be performing its 1960’s version of The Magic Flute at the Wright Center, Samford University from March 15-March 17. For more details, click here.

Now, let’s enjoy some pictures from the Art and Arias event!
Aaron Blake’s performances of the evening were simply smashing! (In my opinion, he could win a Mickey Blue Eyes aka Hugh Grant look-a-like competition!) To learn more about Aaron Blake, click here.
Corey Trahan marvelously entertained and had the audience in stitches with his comedic performance! To learn more about Corey, click here.
Opera Birmingham’s showcase at the BMA was a wonderful experience that the VIP loved! I think I may have developed a new love for Opera!
If you love the Opera or want to enjoy marvelous melodies, check out Opera Birmingham’s website for show times and upcoming performances. www.operabirmingham.org
