Tis the season to be BEAUTIFUL! With Christmas literally just around the corner, it is time to get our holiday party looks planned–from the outfit to the makeup. Hello, fabulouses, and welcome to Beauty Tues.

From getting my body and beauty bag beach/pool ready to dressing totally nautical chic–I am on a HUGE SUMMER kick this week *wink*

So, for this week’s VIP Beauty Tues, I printed out some beachy items to tape in my VIP Beauty Journal. Who needs a Pinterest board when I can have fun cutting and taping *wink* If I had beach-themed or nautical-themed washi tape…I would have gussied up Entry 4 a little more, but I used clear glitter polish instead *wink*

It is that time of the week again where we add another fabulous entry to our VIP Beauty Journals, and this week’s entry is all about being pretty in pink products! Last week, blues and BB King…and this week, pinks and Pretty in Pink–oh, my! What is not to love?! *wink*

I may be a redhead now, but the blonde moments are still pretty strong! *wink* I have gotten several messages from readers asking about what supplies are needed to start a VIP Beauty Journal and silly me forgot to put them on the first blog about the Beauty Journal. So, here is a list of the items I use for mine!

*Journal: Moleskine sketchbook. I picked up a three-pack at my local Barnes and Noble.

*Markers/Pens: I prefer to use Faber Castel because I also use FC for my pen and ink artwork; however, Sharpie markers work fabulous + come in a wide variety of colors.

*Page markers: I ADORE the handmade and cutesy paper clips from Picks and Stones on Etsy! She has a special beauty pack + even does custom orders! Check our Picks and Stones here + see them on the blog here.

Note: I do not use my makeup brushes to apply makeup to the pages of my VIP Beauty Journal. I recommend using q-tips, cotton balls, or other one-time-use applicators so that it limits any risk of contaminating makeup products or messing up makeup brushes.

Beauty Tues: Kicking Off the #VIPBeautyJournal with June’s Nail Color

Hello, fabulouses, and welcome to Beauty Tues!

I am no makeup or nail artist, and I think it is safe to say that. I have had many, many #BeautyFails throughout my years of using makeup and polish. Bless! I still have not perfected–like liquid eyeliner and nail-painting *wink* 

So, instead of trying to be something I am not, I decided to create the #VIPBeautyJournal to talk about my favorite eyeshadows, lipsticks, nail polishes, and all that jazz through an outlet that is a little less Greek to me–sketching and journaling!

I filled the first page of my #VIPBeautyJournal with cute doodles + the VIP’s June 2015 nail color of the month–Gamma-Ray Burst from Drip Drop Nail Paint. I also added some FABULOUS neon stars for a little pop of fun! My favorite thing about Gamma-Ray Burst is IT GLOWS IN THE DARK. Yes, that’s right–you heard me! It is nail polish that glows in the dark! How ah-mazing is that *wink* I tried to capture a photograph of the journal in the dark…but I epically failed because I am no photographer either *wink*
