Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to Beauty Tues!
We are two days into the first ever VIP Pink Week, and I am so excited to finally share some pink-tastic beauty products with y’all! *cheers*
One thing the VIP really loves is lip products–especially if they are PINK. So, I was so excited to find out that Smashbox has a limited-edition pink lip gloss called “Promise” ON SALE NOW that benefits Breast Cancer Awareness. How pink-tastic is that?! Clinique, Estee Lauder, and Aveda also have some great limited-edition Breast Cancer Awareness items for sale. (see Polyvore board below)
In addition to the BCA products featured on this Polyvore board, I am also including some perfectly pink lipsticks, nail polishes, fragrances, and more. Enjoy, y’all! :)
Note: Details on where to buy the products featured on this Beauty Tues are below the Polyvore board :)
Yesterday, I attended freshman orientation at Northeast State Community College in Blountville, Tennessee, and it was absolutely amazing! I got my fall term schedule…my student ID…and a microwave from my mom and dad for tackling orientation sans parents.
The Northeast State Blountville campus is so beautiful and full of wonderful professors + it has a killer Mass Communications and Theater department…the more I talk about it, the more excited I become. Whoo hoo–E! News or Vogue here I come *wink*
Okay, that is enough college chat–there will be plenty of time for that once fall term rolls around *wink* Now, let’s take a look at the outfit details about what I wore to college orientation + why it works.
Blouse: Deep South Pout
Shorts: J.Crew, The Outlet Shops of Grand River
Belt: American Eagle
Sandals: Born, DSW (Birmingham, Alabama)
Why it works:
This outfit worked perfectly for college orientation because it was comfy yet totally cute. I could have worn Nike shorts and a tank top and would have been comfortable, BUT I wanted to make a fashionable impression. And what better way is there to do that than by dressing cutely in bright hues! *wink*
WAIT BEFORE YOU GO!

Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to Beauty Tues.
This week, we are going to chat about how the VIP achieved her makeup look from the Frugal Friday: Military Meets Floral blog post featuring oh-so-orange lips. Come on, let’s get the look!
With the unofficial start of summer underway, every fashionista is looking to punch up her beauty routine–whether it be with new lipsticks, eye shadow palettes, or simple skincare change-ups. The VIP’s big beauty change-up for this summer is adding trendy, bright lipstick shades to my daily makeup routine of sweet and simple eye shadow + black or dark gray eyeliner, and light-rose colored blush. So, I stepped out on a limb that was not classic red with my first summery lip hue, which is a fun shade of orange–Gypsy by Guerlain. OH. MY. GOODNESS! When I wear Gypsy, I crave adventure and sunshine *wink*
Although the idea of a bright orange lip sounds a bit scary, it is rather quite fabulous! With the variety of shades out there in Beautyland, you are sure to find the perfect one for your skin tone. Me–I am bit pale complected, so I tend to lean towards pure oranges and bright oranges–those medium tones and almost nude oranges make me look a bit sick. To help you find your perfect orange lipstick, check outthisuseful article in Harper’s Bazaar!
Blush: Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Rose Bloom
Powder: Laura Mercier’s Universal, invisible pressed setting powder
Behind-the-scenes: My photo shoot styling assistant adding Virginia Sweetspire flowers to my hair. It was a nice addition to the photo; however, they were quite tickly with the wind blowing *wink*
Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to Beauty Tues!
This week, we are going to take a look at the VIP’s April Makeup Inspiration…yay!
After flipping through magazines and clicking through Pinterest, I finally came to the conclusion on what beauty products and hues to slip into to my April beauty bag–lots of pinks, peaches, and playful pops of color. My big beauty goal for April is to embrace fresh, feminine makeup looks with a dash of artsy.
