With a new fashion season upon us, it is time to shop for new wardrobe staples. *happy dance*

In a recent stylish adventure, I worked with Versona to talk about the release of their FIRST-EVER online look book + to shop around and blog about my experience. While wandering around at the Versona at The Pinnacle in Bristol, I found the MOST AMAZING ensemble to kick off fall, and I am so excited to share it with y’all!

With autumn right around the corner, I am starting to stock up on some lovely transition frocks with function and versatility.

When I stumbled upon this fabulous button-down owl piece at Monkee’s of Johnson City, I fell head-over-heels for it! Not only is it warm-hued for fall style, but it is also versatile enough to be worn as a blouse, dress, and outerwear. Three Ways to Wear: Vintage-Inspired, Funky Dresses

As I mentioned in yesterday’s Weekly Whistle, I am totally obsessed with these funky, vintage-inspired frocks! Because these dresses are such statement-makers, styling them multiple ways was quite the challenge, but y’all know the VIP–she doesn’t step down from a little fashion game *wink*

VIP Tip:

When it comes to purchasing statement pieces, think of “unconventional” or “non-traditional” ways you can mix things up. An easy way to change up any statement dress is with different accessories–trying to add pops of un-thought-of colors or patterns with shoes and up-cycled, handmade jewelry.

Weekly Whistle: Little Leopard Dress featuring Monkee’s of Johnson City

Ya know…there is just something about leopard that makes a fashionista feel fabulous and fearless. It stands out in a crowd, it pairs elegantly with pops of color, and it can be a real wild card when combined with other patterns. (See this week’s #VIPMixItMonday on Instagram.)

I found this lovely, little leopard dress at Monkee’s of Johnson City while on a local shopping adventure, and needless to say, I fell head-over-heels for its wear-ability and versatility. So, for this week’s Weekly Whistle, I am sporting it with a sweet lace under-dress, handmade accessories, and my favorite handbag of ALL TIME *wink*

Three Ways to Wear: Blue & White Frock

Have you ever bought a dress that was absolute PERFECTION, and wondered How in the world am I going to wear this more than one way?! OR How am I going to get my money out of this piece? Well, that’s what I thought when I bought this marvelous dress in my school colors *wink* It was a little spontaneous; however, it was totally worth it because when I got it home…I started to style it three ways *wink* Accessories really do make ALL the difference!
