Weekly Whistle: What I Wore to the Movie Premiere | Featuring Monkee’s of Johnson City & Hutch

img_4233

If you have been keeping up with me on social media for the past week, you know I attended the premiere of La Madame, the first independent film in which I starred.

The 10+ hour trip, being absent from my classes, and sacrificing high-speed internet was TOTALLY worth it because it was so amazing to see a project I did at 17 and 18 finally come together. Oh, it was a wonderful trip filled with lots of hugs, laughs, and of course–fabulous fashions *wink*

So, for this week’s Weekly Whistle I am sharing with y’all the absolutely lovely dress I wore for one of the premiere events! A special thanks to Monkee’s of Johnson City and Hutch for this look because it made me feel like a Hollywood actress at the Oscars *sassy strut*

Now, without further ado, take a look at the outfit below. Be sure to stop back by the blog tomorrow for behind-the-scenes pictures, photos from the road trip, what I wore to the night showing, and more! ALSO….tomorrow I will be sharing information about my new radio show! WOO! I won’t spill all the beans tonight *wink*

Acting Workshop with Professional Actor/Director Kevin Wayne

photo 3 (1)

Hello, fabulouses!

I had such a wonderful time at Kevin Wayne’s Acting Workshop today at the Shelby County Arts Council in Alabama.

It was so much fun learning about the show and business aspects of “showbiz” from someone in the industry. At the beginning of the workshop…I was nervous…super nervous–I am not gonna lie *wink*, but by the end of the workshop, I felt more relaxed and confident . Now, I have my notes on the things that need improvement and some sides, which are portions of scripts (primarily used for auditions), to practice with at home.  How do you like how I threw some of my new “acting lingo” in there *wink*

VIP Review:

I give Kevin Wayne’s acting workshop 5 stars and two thumbs up!

Beauty Tues: Creed’s Spring Flower Fragrance

IMG_9047

Hello, fabulouses, and welcome to this week’s VIP Beauty Tues News which is all about a Creed fragrance commissioned in 1951 by fashion and film icon Audrey Hepburn.

Thanks so much, Tara, for always giving me a little history lesson about Creed! It is so amazing how each scent has its own little story!
Thanks so much, Tara, for always giving me a little history lesson about Creed! It is so amazing how each scent has its own little story!

I first learned about Spring Flower and its history from Saks Fifth Avenue Birmingham’s Creed Fragrance Expert Tara Powell, and I immediately fell in love with the flirty, fruity scent. I mean, come on–what fashionista does not want to smell like the one and only Audrey Hepburn?!

Spring Flower is a unique blend of peach, melon, and apple top notes, jasmine and rose middle notes, and base notes of musk and ambergris. When I put on this youthfully fun and simultaneously sexy scent, it gives me an overwhelming confidence–smelling fabulous is the icing on the cake of any fashionista’s outfit! “Delightfully pink and pretty, Creed Spring Flower is a playful and unapologetic celebration of feminine energy and style that is true to the spirit of the woman who inspired it. Fruity, floral, sweet, youthful and sexy.” (www.creedboutique.com)

I am so excited that I will now be wearing Spring Flower and smelling like the old Hollywood starlet Audrey Hepburn! Wait a minute…Audrey Hepburn…Abby Hathorn….both of our initials are “A.H.”…Could this be a sign that La Madame is only the beginning of my acting career? Hmmmm… *wink*
