Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to Beauty Tues!

Brrrr! Winter storm Octavia has hit us here in Johnson City, Tennessee and has left us with a bit of snow and ice…snow and ice…snow and ice *wink* Even though the temps are frigid, some of the roads are iced over, and I have a case of the sniffles, all of that will not keep the VIP from enjoying her time cooped up inside! From shopping Luke & Lyla Designs online to painting my nails with Drip Drop Nail Paint, it has been a pretty entertaining day *wink* The homemade and gluten free brownies and chicken and dumplings also made being in bed bearable!

Anyway–that is enough talk about snow and cold–let’s take a look behind the polish to learn more about the wonderful creator of Drip Drop Nail Paint Jessica Berecek! Woo hoo!

VIP: Tell us a little bit about Drip Drop Nail Paint.

Jessica: I can be a total spaz and need a creative outlet at all times–Drip Drop provides that. It also fulfills my need to be a social butterfly, while still being in my pajamas and drinking coffee, and getting my kids ready for the day.

VIP: What inspired you to start making handmade nail paints?

Jessica: I’ve always had a love for nail polish. I found Instagram about 3 years ago and became aware of the hashtag hype! I saw some amazing nail art, and I got very inspired. I decided to buy some basic brushes and dotting tools to get started on my new hobby [nail art]. As I tried new techniques and different brands of polishes, I stumbled upon “indie nail polish.” I was very intrigued about handmade polish. They were all very unique–not something you could find at the drug store. So, I bought a bunch, and I fell in love with the whole idea of supporting handmade, unique, and small businesses.

VIP: If you were not running Drip Drop Nail Paint, what would you be doing?

Jessica:  I have an associates degree in applied science, so I would probably continue my education and go back into the medical field.

VIP: Prior to Drip Drop Nail Paint, what were you doing?

Jessica: I worked for an orthopedic surgeon for about four years, and when she [the surgeon] moved, the staff kind of got lost in the shuffle. I went from that to waitressing/bartending for about a year and a half, and that’s when I rediscovered my love for painting nails–upon doing so, I stumbled upon indie nail polish.
