Oh, my flare jeans! Never have I ever loved a pair of jeans quite like I love these modern-hippie, black flare jeans from GAP! The GAP at the Mall of Johnson City is closing *super sad face*, and everything in the store is on sale for killer prices *happy dance* So, my mom and I went on a shopping spree where I got not only these fabulous jeans, but also a ton of other goodies–but before I spill the beans…y’all will just have to come back and see all the outfits I can style with my new apparel!

At first, I was skeptical about pairing black with tan/brown–because black and brown makes me frown *wink*–but after trying it on and looking in the mirror, I fell head-over-heels for this ensemble. It makes me have Saturday Night Fever *cue young John Travolta*

A Peek Inside My Life…

Hey, y’all, and welcome back to the blog!

I often receive emails from fans and readers about “How I spend my [little] free time”…So, today, I decided to write a post dedicated to how I spent my Friday…aka today *wink*

After sleeping in a bit, making breakfast, straightening up my apartment, posting Facebook promotions for the blogs, and getting dolled up–I met up with my mom for a fun shopping day at the mall + a visit to Best Buy in search of a new battery for my “blogging camera” *wink*

My mom and I--she refused to be photographed--played in the rain. Rather than letting our frizzed-hair and wet socks get us down, we decided to enjoy the puddles *wink* — Mom and I–she refused to be photographed–played in the rain. Next, Leo (my car) and I represented Katie Baker and her campaign while driving around Johnson City. Go, Katie! Go! *wink*

To end my shopping day, I had a quick trip to Earth Fare for food necessities–microwave popcorn, Cape Cod chips, and gluten-free Against The Grain pepperoni pizza. Now, I am back home blogging with y’all while wearing Nike shorts and a huge sweatshirt because it has been a bit chilly here in Johnson City today *wink*.

I totally channeled my inner Cheetah Girl with a cheetahlicious blouse from Express to create this outfit! Oh, saying “cheetahlicious” sure does make me miss good Disney movies! Hm…after posting this blog I think I am going to find my old Cheetah Girl CD’s and jam out while folding laundry *wink* We make up one big family, though we don’t look the same. Our spots are different–different colors. We make each other stronger–that ain’t ever gonna change. We’re cheetah girls, cheetah sisters! (Cheetah Sisters, 2003)

Phew…After a long work-cation weekend in Mississippi, where I attended and covered the second-annual Local Fashion Advantage founded by New York City designer and Mississippi native, Hilton Hollis…I am finally back at my apartment in Tennessee. Oh, LFA 2014 was a jolly good show, and I will dive more into the details tomorrow *wink*
