We all have that little black dress that is our go-to year-round; however, what about a little denim dress?
A denim dress is just as classic as a black one, it can be dressed up or down, and it holds a special vintage element that totally SCREAMS the late 1960s and 70s. Although the idea of wearing a denim dress might bring back nightmares of the 1990s, this beauty from Forever 21 is hardly a fashion mistake from Saved By the Bell. *wink*
So, for this week’s fabulous Weekly Whistle, I am swapping my little black dress for a little denim one. ALSO…check out the VIP’s new ‘do *wink* Thanks, Courtney Bennet of Salon Confidence, for dolling me up for a short, spring change-up with my hair. Now, without further ado, take a look at this week’s Weekly Whistle outfit + photos taken in the wonderful downtown of Johnson City, Tennessee.

With holiday parties just around the corner, every girl will be reaching for the sparkly body-con dresses and ugly Christmas sweaters; however, year after year those things become too…expected. So, how does a fashionista mix up her wardrobe for the party season? Well–look no further than this perfect romper from Express!
Just like a little black dress is a classic staple year round, so is a little black romper–or at least the VIP is declaring it should be *wink* This particular little black romper though is super fab because of the statement sleeves–it reminds me of something Stevie Nicks would have worn back in the day…and who DOESN’T want to look like Stevie Nicks?!
What I really love about this romper is it is super comfy, versatile, and can be worn throughout the seasons. Since the weather is a bit chilly now, I decided to pair it with tights and fun heels. And when the weather warms up, it can easily be worn sans tights with precious sandals and still look super fab *wink* If you’re head over heels for this spectacular little black romper, then click here to shop. You can match the VIP!
Heels: Madden Girl, Belk
Necklace/Earrings: handmade by Hannah Fink
P.S. Super BIG shoutout to my awesomely creative friend Hannah Fink for hand-making the necklace and earrings featured in this outfit post. She knows me and my classic, black-and-white style so well *wink*

Now, that is enough chit chat about the moving madness–let’s take a looksey at the outfit details of this week’s Weekly Whistle outfit, which features an ADORABLY AWESOME handmade necklace from KristaLize! Oh, how the VIP simply adores KristaLize jewelry! :)
