Oh! I have been way too excited about sharing this AH-mazing dress with y’all! It is my Halloween costume for this year–*gasp* I can’t believe I actually planned one in advance this year *wink*–and I may or may not be wearing it again just for fun…you know, embracing my FAVORITE era in clothing *wink* Oh, can I just go back in time to the 1950s?! Hmm…well, just time-travel there to get some awesome apparel then come back to 2015. *wink*
I found this wonderfully vintage-inspired frock online on Pinup Girl Clothing because I follow the company on Instagram. Pinup Girl Clothing is always posting to-die-for vintage looks on IG, and I am always falling head-over-heels for the frocks…SO–I decided to take a risk and order a dress for my Halloween costume. TO MY HEARTWARMING SURPRISE, the dress fits perfectly, and to be honest…after putting it on for the first time, I didn’t want to take it off! Goodness, if people wouldn’t look at me like I was a wackadoodle, and I wouldn’t get the skirt caught in my car door, I would dress like this every single day for the rest of my life *wink* BUT–that’s why we all love Halloween. For a day, we can dress as ridiculous or outrageous as we want sans judgment. *happy dance*
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw where I was a part of the Jonesborough Yarn Exchange Radio Show cast for their Haunted Jonesborough episode. I sported my Pinup Girl Clothing for the first time in public, and I felt like a little kid in a Disney princess costume *wink* It was SO much fun getting to dip my toes into some voice acting, and I cannot wait to do another show next month! Be sure to stay tuned to VIP social media for a link to the Haunted Jonesborough episode once it is released online a week from today!
Now, without further ado, take a look at this week’s outfit photos + get the ensemble details!
Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to the blog! Tonight on the blog, I am going to show y’all a VIP Casual Saturday way to rock a pretty pink coat…because every fashionista needs a little break from stilettos *wink*
To change up Outfit 1, trade the three07 little black dress for a pair of pink cords, red sweater, a multi-colored scarf, and a slouchy hat for a cute and cozy look that is perfect for a Casual Saturday at the coffee shop with a good book.
Hello, my fabulouses! Let’s roundup the month of July fantastically by recapping Weekly Whistles! Oh…how I love glancing back at outfits of the week each month–it is always fun! So, come on fashionistas, let’s get fabulous!
For a long, long, long, LONG time, I have been wanting my hair cut and styled like a modern version of Marilyn Monroe. Thanks to Brantley Willis and Jeremy Stephens at The Association of Independent Artists–The Salon that long-loved look became a reality!
Brantley Willis, a tremendously talented stylist, did such a FABULOUS job with my color and cut–I could not have asked for a more perfect vintage look! It is hard to trust new people with my signature curly locks, but at the end of the day–it was totally worth it. I am still in complete shock of the wonderful job Brantley did with my curls. Bonus: it was so much fun being with Brantley, Jeremy, and Walker today! Y’all are TOTALLY FABULOUS!
As I was waiting for my top highlights to finish up–the mom, Brantley, and Walker Crow (hair stylist at The Salon) were chatting about how I wanted my hair cut. I have always referred to the VIP cut as a “curly bob”…until today…until Walker Crow’s genius…So…Walker Crow came up with the “cob”–a curly bob. From this point forward, the VIP’s signature curly bob will be referred to as a “cob”…yes, readers…a “cob”…it is catchy…Thanks, Walker Crow, for that fabulous title:) Bonus: I love corn on the cob smothered with butter…slathered in butter….
Near the end of the drying process, I began to love my hair EVEN MORE–I did not know that was even possible. To make my hair experience even more fabulous, Jeremy Stephens cut my bangs and played with my hair. I showed him a picture of Marilyn (yes, I have photos readily available of Marilyn on my phone) and no more than five minutes later…BAM!…I looked like a modern version of the iconic Marilyn Monroe. It was absolute perfection…so, so, so, so, so, amazing. Words cannot express how much I love the new Cob! Walker, you have created the most spectacular name for my ‘do.

Now that I have told y’all about my superb hair pampering day at the AIA Salon, let’s see what the VIP’s outfit of the week is! Come on, fashionistas!
To the nice guy named Austin that gave me a sweet note with your number on a napkin at the salon today…my mom threw it away before I realized what she had done. Please understand that it was not personal. She thought that it was trash.
For future fans and friends, please do not write valuable information on napkins. I recommend brightly colored sticky notes. To my knowledge the mom has not thrown away any valuable information written on sticky notes.
