WOOOO!!! It’s Wednesday which means the week is halfway over, and, of course, it means it’s Weekly Whistle time *wink*
It is definitely sweater-weather time, and I am definitely excited about breaking out my big, chunky sweaters again! Living in a colder climate than I grew up in, I am learning how to layer and actually make sweaters cute. Up until my moving to Northeast Tennessee, I don’t think I owned more than one sweater, and it was probably an ugly Christmas sweater from the sixth grade *wink* NOW…I have drawers and drawers of sweaters of all kinds that I am just dying to wear! *happy dance*
Okay–okay! That is enough about my newfound sweater obsession. Let’s take a look at this week’s VIP Weekly Whistle and get in the #SweaterWeather mood!
*deep breath* It’s Friday, and I have so much to do in such little time! I feel like the rabbit on Alice in Wonderland *wink* I have school duties tomorrow + a feature story to finish for the Jonesborough Repertory Theatre + a cool thing that I cannot talk a lot about right now that involves the International Storytelling Center! Ahh…okay, let’s get to this week’s Letter From the Editor before I accidently spill any beans *wink*
This week, we welcomed Fall of 2015, and I am so excited! Fall is quite possibly my favorite time of the year because the weather is not too hot and not too cold, it’s just right–just like baby bear’s porridge *wink* One thing I love the most about fall is longer sleeves and taller boots. Growing up in the Deep South, I never had the opportunity to play around with pre-fall apparel; however, now living in Northeast Tennessee, I get to wear things like the OOTW on Weekly Whistle! WOO!
Be sure to stay tuned next week for some more fall awesomeness coming your way *wink* I cannot wait to jump into fall!
Before I dive deep into this week’s Three Ways to Wear, I must say that it is absolutely freezing here, and this Mississippi-raised girl does not know how to handle it! My mom and I were huddling around the oven (yes, really–the oven) and eating pizza while my dad was posting pictures to Instagram of the beach sunset in Florida. It’s not fair. I want a warm vacay *wink*
Now, back on topic. For this week’s Three Ways to Wear Thursday, I am featuring a fabulous skirt from one of my favorite local shops here in Johnson City, Tennessee–Serendipity Boutique. This gold skirt is so simple, which makes dressing it up, down, and everywhere in between a piece of cake or easy as pie. You know…whichever you prefer–cake or pie? *wink* Personally…I am a pecan pie kind of gal.
If you live in or are visiting the Johnson City TN/Bristol TN/VA area, be sure to stop by one of Serendipity’s two locations! Their wide variety of lovely fashions are sure to tickle your fancy! :)
