Letter From the Editor: Winsome Easel Calligraphy Workshop

20160206_094836

Last weekend, I attended my first ever calligraphy class at Reclaimed Inspired Goods in downtown Johnson City with Winsome Workshop by Winsome Easel owner Kristin Hornstein. It was so much fun, and I have practiced almost everyday since! Oh–y’all! Kristin has given me the technique + confidence to better my calligraphy while also developing my own unique style. I cannot wait until Winsome Workshop comes back to Johnson City because I will definitely be checking my calendar to attend *wink*

Day 1 of calligraphy. I wrote one of my favorite Hemingway quotes--"Write hard and clear about what hurts."

Day 2--I played around with this quote I found on Pinterest. Still a little shaky in technique but practice makes perfect *wink*

Day 4--I quite like the way this doodle worked out! Such a simple quote with great meaning! Still have a little work to do on my writing though *wink*

Gap Top Challenge: Outfit 6, Coral Is the New Black

IMG_7855

Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to the Gap Top Challenge!

Instead of “Orange is the new black”, I say “Coral is the new black”…simply because orange is not a very flattering color on me *wink*

I love this particular Gap Top Challenge outfit because it can easily be dressed up and down in a snap! I sported this top on campus today with a long BluKatDesign knob necklace and Vans sneakers, then I dressed it up with some bright mint kitten heels and an infinity scarf for coffee! Wowza! Who would have thought that such a simple coral tee would have so much style versatility *wink*

Now, while I go gear up for for the long weekend, y’all take a the look at the awesome outfit details of the sixth VIP Gap Top Challenge :)
