Three Fashionable Snow Day Outfits

IMG_1386

Last week, I experienced more snow than I have in my entire life! *gasp* Nine inches of snow–give or take a few–had me cuddled up inside + begging to take photos outside *wink*

Even though inches and inches of snow were a big deal for this Mississippi-raised girl, there were parts of Virginia (not far from here) that got three feet of snow…let that sink in…THREE FEET! AHH! I wouldn’t know how to emotionally handle that!!

Now, because the snow still hasn’t gone away *wink*, let’s take a look at three fabulous snow day outfits and try to warm up to the cold weather outside *wink*

Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to the blog!

We have been hit with yet another snowstorm, which left me scraping 6 inches of snow off my car this morning + shoveling a driveway for the first time in my life *wink*

Even though I am not a huge fan of the snow, it does make for some pretty fabulous photos…especially at the beautiful Founders Park in downtown Johnson City! Now, while I go warm my toes by the heater, y’all take a look at this week’s Weekly Whistle! To stay updated on my snowpocalypse fun, check out my Twitter feed below. :)

Weekly Whistle: A Southern Belle in the Snow

IMG_8147

Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to the blog!

It has been snowing like the dickens here all day, and of course, the VIP team created fabulous (and maybe a smidgen crazy) photo shoots *wink*

Taking a bit of inspiration from my old stomping grounds, I dressed as if I were going to a mid-spring brunch with some other Southern Belles. The juxtaposition of warm-weather clothes and cold-weather conditions made for some fun photos that have me VERY ready for spring and summer *wink*

Now, while I go warm up for some neighborhood sledding later, y’all take a look at these chilly and bright photos! Stay tuned for more from today’s photo shoot :)

Thanks, Winter Storm Octavia, for the fluffy snow. This Southern Belle has enjoyed it :)

Throwback Thursday: Bring back the snow!

IMG_8583Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to Throwback Thursday!

Hop in the time machine with me, and let’s blast back in time to January 17, 2013 when Winter Storm Iago coated Birmingham with a lot of snow–in Southern terms…”a lot of snow” really means “we got about an inch, and it is all melted by the next day.” *wink*

As I reminisce about this blog, the best part and most fun of that Southern blizzard was playing with the dogs in the snow–I tried to convince my mom to come out and help me build a snowman; however, she insisted on staying inside the covered porch. I cannot say that I blame her…we do not have the proper attire for playing in snow. Anyway, that day was absolutely marvelous…I wish we would get snow more often–don’t tell my dad I said that because he has a strong dislike for snow *wink*

Now, without further ado, I reveal never before seen photos from the fun time the pups and I had during our Alabama Snow-tacular last year. Enjoy!

It is also not very wise for making snow angles in the street...but I live in the cul de sac...so, it's okay? Right?! *wink*
