Weekly Whistle: Sock It to Me

Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to the blog!

Two of my favorite mid-fall things to wear here in the South are socks and shorts. When it’s too hot for pants, but too cold for just shorts–I break out my fancy socks and chino shorts to create sassy and fall-inspired ensembles. 

So, for this week’s Weekly Whistle, I decided to sock it to y’all…see what I did there *wink* I went a bit simple with the main components (shorts, blouse, shoes) because the socks are so stately. To make this outfit more fall-ish, I stuck to warm hues and dressed up the light-colored blouse with bronze-toned accessories. 

Now, let’s take a look at the fabulous photos + outfit details! I bet y’all cannot guess where I picked up these expensive looking socks for a lovely deal *wink*

BLOOPER: The face you make when a squirrel almost falls on your head from the tree limb above you. What a lovely way to start the morning, right? *wink* That very much makes me think about John Caparulo's skit about getting bit by a swan on the way to work. HAHA! Ah! Three Ways To Wear: Pink ‘N Pleated

It’s finally Thursday, which means I finally get to share this week’s three-ways-to-wear styling challenge! Whoo hoo!

I am a huge fan of light pink and pleated apparel, so when I spotted this skirt at Forever 21…it was love at first sight! Before purchasing  this pink ‘n pleated skirt, I thought to myself…How many different ways can I style this? Will I get a lot of wear out of it? Well, off the top of my head, I was able to create six different looks! Ah! How fabulous?! And for this week’s Three Ways to Wear Thursday, I am going to show y’all three of those–y’all will have to come back next Thursday to see the final three *wink*

$50 Target Challenge: Outfit #1

Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to the blog for another fun outfit challenge! What new series does the VIP have up her sleeve? Well, let’s see!

VIP Spending Budget: $50.00

With movie rehearsals and filming at the beginning of December, I knew that I needed to get comfy items without jeopardizing looking cute. So, I set out to find three pieces–

  1. An oversized sweatshirt
  2. Patterned leggings
  3. A cute skirt.

Staying within the VIP budget, I was able to snag a hipster-inspired outfit that can be worn three different ways. Even better than that–each piece can be combined with items already in my closet to create even MORE outfits! Oh, who knew finding fabulous outfits for less could be so easy!
