Three Ways to Wear: The Story Behind the Segment

Hello, fabulouses, and welcome back to the blog!

This week for Three Ways to Wear Thursday, I am going to spill the beans about the genesis of VIP Three Ways to Wear + why I feel that it is a crucial part of my fashionable life. Oh–and I am gonna show y’all my favorite 3 Three Ways to Wear posts ever.

So…without further ado, let’s get started–but not without some tunes, of course *wink*

I heard this song on the radio this morning and ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE with the chorus. ♥

How it started:

When I was just a wee thing, my parents would put me on a budget for back-to-school clothes shopping. It was a great learning experience that not only taught me how to manage my money, but it also taught me how to get more bang for my buck. Before I knew I wanted to start a blog or pursue a writing career, I was styling three-ways-to-wear outfits with items on the sale racks at Limited Too + using my Too Bucks for extra discounts *wink* Now…some of you reading this might not know what Limited Too is because they were bought out by Justice several years ago. Gah–I remember when they changed my favorite Limited Too store to Justice…sour subject, sour subject *wink*

Why is it crucial to my fashionable life:

I am in college now, so funds are limited *wink* I use what little “spending money” I have on caffeinated beverages and gluten-free snacks (because I have Celiac Disease not because I am being trendy *wink*). I don’t have money to waste on a new wardrobe every week…month…or season, if I want to keep gas in Leo or pay for all the books I have to read *wink* So, in order to keep up my fashionable life throughout my college years, I always use my “Three Ways to Wear” method when shopping. What else could I wear this with? How much wear can I get out of this piece to justify paying $__ for it? Also, Three Ways to Wear makes waking up early and getting dressed easier. If I wake up late one day and only have 30 minutes to get dressed before making my commute, all I have to do is pull a few items out and put them together. TAH DAH. Fashionably late WITHOUT looking like I just rolled out of bed *wink*
